In quasi duecento anni di torture e manipolazioni è una vittoria anche solo riuscire a ritagliarsi isolati secondi per avere un respiro proprio, uno di quelli che riempie il petto fino a mettere a dura prova gli intricati versi poetici che scavano la carne, dove lacrime disperate di sangue rendono umido e asettico ogni dolore.
« ti prego... » è un rantolo tremulo. Le sillabe vibrano sotto al palato, le corde vocali raschiano in gola con le note profonde « ...salvami » una mistura di parole, disperazione e resa. Le pareti della cella, che hanno accolto grida, sangue e suoni di catene ora sono cariche di silenzio ed oscurità. Accolgono l'ultima preghiera e la solitudine si attacca addosso con la semplicità con cui lo fa la patina di sudore, sporco e sangue.
Ed in un istante tutto assume un singolo colore: rosso.
