Summary
Magical Community has changed since Valkyrie left. She supposed that was to be expected after five years out of action, but it was still nerve-wracking.
Some things never change though: bad people still want to do bad things, and Skulduggery Pleasant is still there to stop them. But he wants her back and she doesn't feel ready for it.
But she's never been able to truly tell him no, so she joins him for twenty-four hours... To stop his Ex-Girlfriend from being brought back to life.
Sometimes she wondered why she'd thought taking his hat hostage was a good idea.
Omen Darkly wasn't sure what to do with his life. Auger seemed to have it planned out, or rather their parents did. Omen didn't have options that he could see, he wasn't very good at anything. Including flying, dear god was he bad at flying.
But that all changes (kind of) when he meets Skulduggery and Valkyrie and is asked to go undercover. For once, he is in the spotlight! Apart from the fact that it's undercover so not really, but still!
One skeleton. One young woman. One teenage boy.
As Skulduggery always liked to say, birds of a feather flock together...
They were probably doomed.

Valkyrie hadn't been expecting to die three years after the world had been recreated, but here she was. And there Fletcher was. Which was great, she hadn't wanted him involved… Her head felt funny, probably from the beating she'd taken. Fun times. She was even on her knees literally instead of mentally being there.
God, she was in so much painValkyrie and Fletcher die and end up in the My Hero Universe. And because it's Valkyrie and because it's Fletcher, they get involved in a vaguely annoying way. Aizawa will probably kill them before the villains get the chance.
