Kaneki's whole body goes warm. He can smell Hide's scent, warm and rich and compelling, watch the dilation of his pupils in deep brown irises, see the lightness of the ends of his short hair, brittle from bleach. Hide is just a bit taller than he is. He really does have a very nice face – Kaneki had noticed when he came in, but now he notices all over again.
"Hey," whispers Hide.
“Hey,” Kaneki breathes back, not daring to move or speak up.
“Are we,” Hide licks his lips, “having a Moment?”

Summary
Erik has journeyed to England to survey the land for his new steel factory, but also to meet his fiancé whose family owns that land. Of the two, Erik is more excited about the former. The marriage contract is a truly business contract, nothing more, which suits him well. Undoubtedly, his fiancé is just another brainless and foolish member of the gentry, so the less they have to do with one another the better.

Summary
Erik’s only purpose in life is to find and kill the man who had his parents executed—Sebastian Shaw, Captain of the Emperor’s fleet.
