A sarcastic “yes, sir” stops at the tip of Daniel’s tongue when it hits him. The immediate onslaught of Armand’s centuries of practice, the way Armand’s nails dig into his thighs now deep enough to cut…
He can’t read your mind.
Daniel may not have been able to drum up the sympathy Armand wanted for his lack of “capacity” to play maker up to now, but this is different. The idea of having a window into the mind of every one you’ve ever fucked for hundreds of years, and then poof it’s gone? This poor immortal idiot. This hopeless vampire sex god in actual dire need of validation that yes, the preternatural head he’s giving is working. There but for the grace of God goes Daniel.
