In this world, a young ghost - dead only twenty years - is too busy drinking to notice somebody listening in as she swaps gossip about the far too compassionate man under that silver mask that none of her friends will believe a word of.
It feels disrespectful to even consider, but the ghost king has no other leads, and the mere 'what if' of the situation drives a spear through his gut.
(Or Hua Cheng overhears a single person speaking kindly of the nearly two decades buried Fang Xin Guoshi and clinging to that fragment of hope is a good idea for a change.)
