“No,” he says more like a whisper. It hits him then, in the hollering silence that follows, in the very same word reverberating throughout his skull like an echo in the void, that he, Hoseok, absolutely doesn’t want to leave. Sure, he loves the ocean, he loves the sun and the beach, he loves the breeze and the night sky and how it turns gray just when the sky peeks from behind the horizon. He loves all of these things, but for the first time he realizes that he also loves Jungkook. For the first time he understands that he /loves/ Jungkook.
(or the one where Hoseok is an alien sent to evaluate the conditions to sustain life on earth and he meets this one man with a bunny-like smile and doe eyes, making him learn the most important lesson of all - what it feels to love).

Time is a funny concept - always has been to Taehyung. It flows like a river, pivoting leisurely like a vortex, no up and down to distinguish and yet he clearly knows his place in the humongous clutter of streams yanking at his limbs from every direction. Something about its unpredictability is calming, because no matter what, regardless of how low you fall, you might be just one second away from reaching the surface again.
Taehyung believes in time.
He believes in fate.
He believes in his soulmate.
He believes in Jungkook.
(or alternatively: In a world you stop aging at 20 until you find your soulmate, Taehyung has been living for a thousand years without getting to know his. Just when he’s ready to give up, he meets nineteen-year-old Jungkook)
