The advisor gasped dramatically, his hand flying to his chest. “Really? After I went out of my way to save you? I’m heartbroken—”
It all happened in a second.
From Harumasa’s point of vantage he didn’t see the assassin whom he’d been decking heads with rise to his feet, a shard of glass brandished like a dagger. Right when the guards cried in panic, the assassin flung past them, the makeshift weapon aimed right at the royal advisor’s throat.
Seth didn’t hesitate.
(Or, in which Seth gets pursued by a horde of assassins. Through the debacle, he makes some bad decisions and grows a lot closer with a certain cat-like advisor than he would’ve imagined.)

Zuko has always been fascinated by the sea and everything in it, ships being a particular interest of his. How they are built, the gears, the types of fuel and how they influence navigation, the hierarchy within a ship and the unique language that the crew uses on the high seas. All this to say, when his father offered him a trip as a high-class passenger on the voyage with the Southern Raiders, he readily accepted, with his luggage in hand and a smile on his face. How lucky he is that his father is so kind!
