Despite herself, Ema’s coal-black heart softens at the thought of Trucy overnighting without her only guardian. Trucy still hasn’t succeeded in scrubbing off her performer’s face from her show earlier: her smile is just a bit too forced, the bouncing of her heels just a bit too robust to be organic.
Ema fully intends to hand over the flowers and see herself out. But when she opens her mouth, instead she says, “You wanna do something that is, scientifically speaking, completely inadvisable?”
Ema is having a tough go of things. It turns out she's not the only one.

Summary
Scowling, Franziska storms up and waits with her hand on her whip for Maya to notice her presence and flee the scene. When that doesn’t work she clears her throat, and Maya finally seems to realize she’s not alone. She leaps to her feet, but instead of the wary expression most people put on when talking to the fearsome prosecutor, her eyes sparkle and her hands flap around in unbridled joy.
"Prosecutor von Karma!" Maya greets her, and points out over the grassy lawn. "I found something awesome! Look!"
Franziska von Karma tries to have a quiet moment by herself. Maya Fey, as always, seems determined to throw a wrench in her plans.

Summary
When Kay had learned that Franziska von Karma would be in LA at the same time that Ema Skye was on summer break, suggesting they all hang out together had seemed like the sort of whimsical, fun thing friends do, and she had said as such in the group chat. The summer sun, the ocean breeze - it had all seemed so innocent and easy.
But now, a month later and neck-deep in the thousand and one steps that lead up to a day on the beach, Kay is faced with the horrible reality that seeing her friends in their cute summer swimsuits means that she’d have to see her friends in their cute summer swimsuits.
Or; Kay, Ema, and Franziska spend a day at the beach. Kay’s relationship to swimming and swimsuits is super normal and not at all indicative of anything else, so don’t even worry about it!

Summary
What did you like about the episode?: This episode was a solid meh. I just think it’s a bit derivative, especially the Evil Magistrate’s whole spiel. ‘Oh look at me, I was so evil but now I’ve learned my lesson and I’m ready to come back to society and teach everyone about how morally superior I am!’ We get it, you’re good now. That doesn’t mean I have to like your forced morals about teamwork.
Final Grade: C- (Give the Magistrate some time. You'll fall in love with him eventually. - M.F.)

Hurrying to catch up with her, Apollo intones, "Trucy," voice firm and almost brotherly—which is a strange thing to think about a person she's only known for about a day, probably, but Trucy is proudly and irrevocably strange. "Does your, uh… Would Mr. Wright not care?"
Air rushes out through the open door like a vacuum, blowing Trucy's cape at her back. She tilts her head, studying Apollo's grouchy and almost concerned expression, sweaty bangs hanging down over his big ol' forehead and into his sad brown baby cow eyes, and thinks, huh, what a strange thing to ask.
At the intersection of multiple thefts, a murder, and her Daddy's penchant for trouble, Trucy Wright gains a brother.

She's always thought it might be nice to have an older brother; someone to go on adventures with, someone to take her for ice cream and help with her magic, someone who stays, even when her Daddy goes away and leaves her behind. In an ideal world, Trucy won't have to wait for someone to get murdered for Apollo to stick by her, which means she'll have to start thinking of new ways of keeping him around. For now, she'll take it upon herself to make sure he doesn't forget to stop and smell the roses—like a good sister should.

"Edgeworth!" Phoenix calls through the door. "Hey! Are you listening?! - I'm going to leave you here!"

"Edgeworth are you dead," Phoenix says, pressing his face against the window. Edgeworth just lies face down, looking vaguely dead. "Edgeworth. Hey, Edgeworth. This isn't funny. Look up. Pick your head up. Look at me. Or I really will just leave you here!"
Phoenix turns to leave.
"Edgeworth, you're going to make me commit a national security breach," says Phoenix. "Which I won't do! Because that would be illegal! And I am a normal, law-abiding citizen, so I'm going to do the normal, law-abiding thing and walk away now!"
Phoenix turns to leave.
"God dammit," Phoenix says, and starts punching four digit codes into the door at random.Fellas is it gay to have sex with your situationship because he's currently out of his mind on approximately 1 (one) metric fuckton of aphrodisiacs even though he just admitted he didn't regret faking his own death and fucking off to europe ‼️

Summary
With von Karma, there’s instead some sort of agonizing pseudoproximity. They’re peers, almost. Or at least they could have been in a world where she wasn’t better than Ema in every conceivable way. Franziska von Karma, a woman who was further along in her career at age 13 than Ema is now. The kind of woman you can look at and know: this is someone who’s never had to try and figure out when her last shower was by gauging her armpit hair growth.
The murder of an elderly record label executive finds Ema and Klavier assisting Franziska von Karma in an ongoing Interpol investigation. One relationship between detective and prosecutor starts to sprout as the other begins to buckle.

The person she sees is not quite the graceful young lady Susato Mikotoba, but not exactly the brash student boy Ryuutarou Naruhodou, either. This is someone new.
Running a hand over the even, short hair feels exciting and terrifying and so right. A grin breaks onto her face, and she can’t stop combing her fingers through her hair, again and again.

Getting over one's doomed romantic feelings for Phoenix Wright was a simple task: give the man polite distance, focus on one's career, and contemplate a Phoenix Wright-less version of the future where one was somehow happy.
Notice that these steps did not include pushing a shopping cart alongside Phoenix Wright, trading flowers with Phoenix Wright's young daughter, or going to Phoenix Wright's home to celebrate Phoenix Wright's stupid, endlessly endearing made-up holiday.
Miles did this to himself. He deserved it.
