When she wakes up, A-Jie will be a better Sect Leader than him. Besides, before him, she was the sect heir — if her golden core wasn’t under the constant strain of her sickly body, Jiang Cheng may not have become heir. Summary
Despite their many differences, Mu Qing and Shen Yuan have always been close. While Shen Yuan hailed from a rich family, being the third son out of six children (Mu Qing had only ever met one of them, his older brother Shen Jiu, a stoic man whom he admired greatly), Mu Qing was not as fortunate.
Mu Qing’s wide social circle was a stark contrast to Shen Yuan’s own sad social life, who resorted to online friendships that would only last two weeks at best for the most part until high school.
They never had much in common, no, yet, that one casual teacher on that one day of primary school who sat them next to each other at that one desk definitely had something going for her, because, since that fated meeting, they’d been attached at the hip. And so, here they were, in uni, living in an apartment owned by the Shen family probably worth more than one of Mu Qing’s organs - not that he was complaining.
