“Food logistics. And there’s a chance we’ll have a guest, so, you know. Gotta stock up.”
“As if they could make a dent with a hockey player in the house,” Shane jokes, yawns again, and then lets himself be sent off to bed.
In hindsight, he should really have paid more attention to the carefully casual way his mother had said, there’s a chance we’ll have a guest.
Shane is looking forward to Christmas break: five days with no one except his parents. Unfortunately, his parents have picked up a stray… one that Shane is rather more familiar with than he’d like anyone else to know.
