Summary

Errand boy and letter carrier for the Burial Mounds.

Ever since the marriage between Jiang Lian and Jin Zixuan, Lan Wangji has been making regular visits to the Burial Mounds to deliver letters. Wen Ning reflects on how this has changed things at the Burial Mounds, and in particular the effect it's had, and continues to have, on Wei Wuxian.
Once the newest batch of letters are dispersed to their intended recipients, Wen Ning reads A-Yuan's letter to him from Jiang Lian. And later, all the residents of the Burial Mounds get together for dinner and some merry-making, and Wen Ning observes Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji growing closer (read: pining ridiculously).

Summary
Jin Zixuan knew of Jiang Lian, far before he ever knew her. Like most of the cultivation world, he'd heard of the youngest Jiang child; an omega daughter, praised for both beauty and skill. During the war, he'd heard stories of her strength of swordsmanship and cultivation, how she blazed through Wen troops leaving naught but ashes in her wake. And when he'd finally won over and married his beloved Jiang Yanli, he'd heard countless stories of a cherished and adored meimei, kind and brilliant and headstrong.
But actually knowing her far eclipsed any story, or any description. Jiang Lian was like a fire, vibrant and warm and bright. Capable of destruction. Greedy.
A wildfire would spread far and fast, so long as there was fuel to feed it. And Jiang Lian's flames had been slowly spreading through Golden Carp Tower since she'd first entered it. But wildfires do more than just destroy, they cleanse. They leave the earth ready for new growth.
And fire is more than just wildfires. There is also the fire in the hearth, that keeps homes and families warm. And the more he gets to know Jiang Lian, the more he sees her making a place in his home, the more he understands how much she embodies both aspects of fire.

Summary
Jiang Lian has started to settle into her new home, the Golden Tower of Lanling Jin sect. She accepted the role of Young Madam Jin via her marriage to Jin Zixuan, because she wanted to ensure her nephew Jin Ling would be loved and protected, after the sudden death of his mother, her jiejie, Jiang Yanli. She was ready to dedicate the entirety of the rest of her life to keeping him safe and happy. Ready to burn down the world if it threatened him.
But then she's woken in the middle of the night by a paperman infused with a familiar energy. And when she goes to meet the one who sent it, who risked everything in coming to the den of snakes out of a desperate need for help only she can provide, she realizes there is more she can do.
Her love is a fire that is in no way lessened by the distance between her and those she loves. She'd been thoroughly focused on Jin Ling, on ensuring his safety and happiness, that she raised him well in her jiejie's stead. But when she comes to realize just how much more family she has than she knew, and how much they need help, she also realizes that is no longer enough. Her priority will always be Jin Ling, but fire is greedy, and there is no wind strong enough to extinguish her love.

Summary
Lan Xichen is a caring and supportive friend and brother. And so, out of concern (and definitely not any desire to meddle) he makes a visit to Golden Carp Tower just a month after the most recent discussion conference, and the wedding that preceded it, to check up on his friend and sworn younger brother, Jin Guangyao.
He does this, not because of anything A-Yao has said, but what he hasn't. His letters have made no mention of the wedding, or what has resulted from it: namely, his new sister-in-law.
Because Lan Xichen knows things about A-Yao, knows him well enough to see past some of the fronts and walls the other man put up to the world. He knows there are things A-Yao wants, that he needs, whether A-Yao knows it himself or not. And as an attentive and diligent older brother, he intends A-Yao to get what he wants and needs. If that means needing to meddle, then that's what he'll do. But he suspects, if he can only get Jiang Lian involved, he won't need to do much himself at all.

Jiang Lian is an omega, and the youngest child of the Jiang family. She grows up among the lotus flowers and the warm waters her home is named for, with her siblings at her side. Through everything that happens, good and bad, these two things remain immutable facts: her home is Lotus Pier, and the Jiang siblings will do anything, even the impossible, for each other.
But then, one ordinary day, her brother comes to her with terrible, horrible, tragic news. Their beloved jiejie is dead, her husband injured, and their nephew needs caring for; caring that Jiang Lian, as an omega, can, and is determined to, provide. But to do so, she must make an impossible choice; to give up her future, her home in Lotus Pier, for the shine of the Golden Tower, and the darkness hidden inside.
But Jiang Lian, for all that it's always been her home, has never quite fit among the waters and flowers and rains and storms. No, Jiang Lian has always been a fire, an inferno, ready and waiting to be stoked. So when the flint is struck, and sparks fly, she gathers them close. She will use them to light the pyre the whole world will burn on, if necessary.

Summary
Macarons are a confection, easy in terms of ingredients but somewhat more complex when it comes to execution. Two crisp meringue based discs with some sort of filling (jam, frosting, etc) between them. The simplicity of the base ingredients allows for a huge variety of flavours.
It's time for the world, or Gotham at least, to be introduced officially to Tim's girlfriend Hana. And where better than at a fancy party with tons of reporters around?

Summary
A yule log is a traditional Christmas dessert, where a thin cake gets rolled up into a log shape. When cut, the sake and icing make what resembles tree rings like a log would have. It is often decorated to make it look as realistically like a log as possible.
Hana and Tim are going to her parent's home for Christmas. Hana gets to introduce Tim to her family's Christmas traditions. Tim may or may not embarrass himself, there may or may not be photographic and video evidence, and Hana's mom may or may not be the scariest person he's ever met, and that's saying something.
