Summary

Summary
Dr. Castiel Novak has a protocol for everything. As the head of Cardiothoracic surgery, he is a man of precision. He likes his coffee at exactly 180 degrees, his office silent and his life sterile. He is known as the “Ice King” and he has no intention of melting.
Dr. Dean Winchester is a disaster waiting to happen. The head of trauma is Cas’ exact opposite. A former combat surgeon who drives a 1967 Chevy Impala, listens to classic rock in the OR, and treats rules as mild suggestions. To Dean, medicine is warfare and he’s the “Trauma Cowboy” leading the charge.
So, oil meets water. When a hospital merger forces their departments together, Dean and Cas are shoved into a shared office. A single strip of blue painters tape on the floor is the only thing separating Cas’ pristine order from Dean’s chaos.
Cas wants him gone ASAP. Dean wants to see just how far he can push him before he breaks.
But as the pressure of the hospital mounts, the friction between them sparks into something neither of them can control. Cas is realising that chaos might be the one thing his life is missing and Dean is quickly learning that the ice king burns hotter than anyone else.

Summary
When Castiel, a demoted cop on desk duty, gets a special assignment the Chief only trusts him with, he gets more than he bargained for.
Dean is not who Castiel expected him to be and when things get too real and Dean gets too close Castiel has to take a step back to protect his peace (and sanity).
After two weeks, Chief Singer can't stand the mutual pining between his officer and son anymore and tells Castiel to call Dean, forcing him to deal with his desires.

Castiel Novak doesn't expect mercy. He's made his peace with what's waiting for him in the capital. He hasn't made his peace with his failure at Carver's Hollow, but that's a different kind of sentence.
The road to Alderwatch is long. Long enough for Dean to start doubting everything he was sure of. He has hunted things that wanted to kill him, but he's never hunted anything that kept saving his life instead.

Summary
Dean’s got orders to follow, and he’s gotta do it without getting his wings in a bunch. He’s on a Heavenly mission: Observe the human Castiel, and if the demon blood he’s infected with poses a threat, eliminate him. Though, honestly, Dean’s pretty sure his Father doesn’t really see that second part as optional. And when Dean actually meets the guy, he’s gotta agree. Castiel’s abrasive, violent, utterly faithless.
And completely gosh darn fascinating.
