Alfred sighed and closed the book around one finger to keep his place. "Master Bruce. Please tell me you aren't going to that horrid little club in the Narrows again."
For all that he was Batman, trained in the art of bald-faced lying, Bruce managed to shuffle his feet and twitch his eyes toward the front door suspiciously. "I'm… not going to the horrid little club in the Narrows?"
"Yet, here you are, dressed for the club," said Alfred flatly.
Fed up with Bruce's playboy act, Alfred signs him up for an exclusive dating service, hoping that he will at the very least make a friend. On the other side of the bay, Lois gifts Clark with a voucher for that very same service, insisting that he needs to move on from their mutual breakup.
Neither one of them really wants a relationship, but they do want their loved ones to be happy. So they come to a mutually beneficial agreement.
It very quickly becomes something else entirely.
