Baelor wakes up with no memory of what happened after he got hit in the head and finds out everyone in Ashford went into heat or rut. He finds Maekar with bruises littering his body and a mating bite on his neck.
After years of pining, someone did what he should have done a long time again.
Baelor has to figure out who would violate Maekar like this and why Maekar seems to be getting angrier at him, the more he questions him on the identity of this disgusting alpha.

Little brother
It is not said cruelly—Baelor rarely says anything cruelly—but the phrase lands upon him with a quiet irritation all the same, carrying with it the unspoken implication that he remains, in Baelor’s eyes, something small and manageable, a younger creature to be guided rather than an equal to be admired.
“Nothing is wrong,” Maekar answers after a moment, keeping his gaze fixed stubbornly upon the path ahead.
