Toya knows about devotion — or maybe he once did, before the very thought of life itself became unbearable. Wake, practice, sleep. Rinse and repeat. Oh, how he'd try to run — and how laughable it is he's now running around with a boy who's doing the same for street music, a boy who doesn't know how much of a coward he is.
But this same boy is now bandaging his hands so gently, more worried about his injuries than he is. How can he find it in himself to turn away? It's selfish, despicable, but — he wants to stay by his side, just a little bit longer.
Hurting has become less unbearable for Toya, now that Akito’s there to patch him back up.

Akito has always admired Toya, but not in any weird way. Toya was his singing partner, his best friend, his everything, but he was still a dude, so every feeling Akito felt was purely platonic…
But those nights he thinks about how pretty Toya’s lips are, how soft his voice is, how beautiful the man is, it makes him doubt how platonic these feelings are. It would make so much more sense if Toya was just a girl.
