Thank you to everyone in the GeshuYan fandom for all your support through what was a rough time for me, whether you commented, kudos’d, or even just read my works!! 😊 And very special thanks to all those who commented, it gave me the encouragement to finally de-Anon… 120k words later 😂

I've stopped playing the game, but I'm evidently still writing...

If anyone wandered here from my other fandom works, click if you would like WuWa info.

Best explanation of the pairing I found is from the Shipping Wiki Geshuyan article.

Visuals: WuWa Jiyan Trailer English, Chinese (I personally prefer the Chinese or Japanese voice acting for games/anime).
*The Geshu Lin in the trailers is a phantom.

Regarding the Game itself: I've stopped playing. WuWa is tailored to a specific audience which began to show after 1.0 and could be felt not only in character designs but also in main story quests. That audience is not me. If you want an extreme example, and also what made me hard-stop playing, look up “Cantarella Resonator Showcase” and “Cantarella Resonator Combat”. WuWa's gameplay is great, and there's probably still some good content in there, but this element is heavily felt and outweighed it for me.

Additional Relevant Vids(Youtube) & Info

Battle Beneath the Crescent (Storyteller Cinematic): EN | CN Dub/Eng Sub
Jiyan Intro Cutscene: EN | CN Dub/Eng Sub
Grand Warstorm Quest - Jiyan & Geshu Lin's phantom Cutscene: EN | CN Dub/Eng Sub (~5:59-12:51, linked at 5:59)

>90% of content for this pairing (there isn’t a lot) is from Jiyan’s Trailer, WuWa 1.0 Quests – primarily Grand Warstorm, and a Storyteller cinematic. There's additionally some Jiyan info in his Story Quest "Daybreak at Last"

GeshuYan have an “antagonistic” relationship in that they have complete opposite viewpoints. Additionally, we only ever see Geshu Lin’s phantom which criticizes Jiyan—it’s unclear whether this phantom is accurate or Jiyan’s “nightmare” projecting some of his uncertainties. Therefore, this pairing’s portryal can range from toxic to bantering. Honestly, toxic is probably more canon, but I tend to be on the other end of the spectrum.
