Tim was in the hospital.
He was—
—dying, or so the charge nurse had said over the phone.
Dick’s thoughts were racing, his pulse thready and wane, and thrumming all at once, because how could someone do this to his baby brother?
Or, Tim is hospitalized post-Jason Todd’s attack on Titans Tower, and Dick, only finding out in the aftermath, feels like he failed Tim as an older brother.

Summary
Tim came home two weeks ago.
It wasn’t really a home he knew, but Bruce, being Bruce, had insisted on him recovering in the manor.
This had all apparently been decided somewhere between Tim dying three times and him miraculously waking up, alive, and with his brain functions fully intact. He moved into the manor as soon as the discharge papers were signed and filed away,
And with that, his brand new life began, one of being ceaselessly doted on by Alfred, Dick, and Bruce like some kind of sad, paraplegic puppy.
Or, Tim is released from the hospital and must now recover, both physically and mentally, after being attacked by the Red Hood. As one can imagine, it's a process™, and the Batfam are just trying their best to be supportive.

Summary
Tim was an unmoving mess of mousy, black hair and little else, where the comforter swallowed him up, and for once, Dick was grateful for the stillness. He needed the rest.
Something drew his attention to the door. Something that had him immediately standing from the armchair in the corner to investigate. His thoughts were kind’ve hazy and thick, like syrup. He didn’t know what had his hairs standing on end, but something was... off.
He felt silly for even being worried in the first place. After all, the manor had likely the best security not offered on the market. Better, even, than the pentagon; No one could get in that wasn’t wanted.
They said the same about Titans Tower.
That niggling fear sharped abruptly, had him whirling around to put Tim back in his sights, and he froze.
Hood, standing over his baby brother.
Hood, gun to Tim’s head.
Or, the Red Hood is deranged and out of his mind, and really not in control of himself. Dick tries to kill him, after the assault on Tim, only to discover who he really is.

Or, with Jason in custody in the batcave, Tim tries to overcome his trauma and reconcile this Jason with the one he knew before, but all he can find is that green abyss.
