But amongst all of his curses, he had a favourite. His favourite was one his friends would always beg to bring out. They loved her, always trying to feed her despite her non-existent organs or need to eat. She was huge, almost the size of a plane and would bring him comfort like a pet would. Her purring always calmed him down and managed to relax him like no other. He usually forgot she was an actual curse.
Rainbow Dragon.
Just the thought of her brought a string of warmth and nostalgia through him. It made him itch to bring her out despite his inability to.
She was dead.
Exorcised.
Or so he thought. With Suguru’s return to Jujutsu High as a teacher, he begins feeling a tug towards a room he has yet to visit. The last thing he expected was a long-lost dead friend he missed dearly.

Shoko sighed.
“Yes?”
Yuuji lifted his right arm, stroking his chin between his thumb and index in genuine thought.
Oh boy.
“Is this a sleepover?”
Oh BOY.
“You’re in my office being treated for bruised ribs,” Shoko replied as much as she didn’t want to. She made eye contact with him, “This is not a sleepover.”
“But we’re hanging out, aren’t we?” Yuuji asked, and Shoko almost revisited her previous idea of banging her head against the table.
Shoko has spent the last 13 years of her life trying to wrap her head around the fact she's somehow still alive. Now, she's trying to wrap her head around the fact that Sukuna's vessel thinks his trip to her office is a sleepover.

“That wasn’t your fault.” Satoru interrupted and appeared in front of her, his hands resting on her knees gently as he crouched down. “You did what you could and thankfully you’re all alright now.”
Nobara shook her head, “No! If I wasn’t so stupid I could’ve helped more. I’m so weak, I can’t stand it!” She pushed her hair back aggressively with her good arm, her hand wrapped tightly around the strands as she glared up at the ceiling, “Fucking Ten Shadows and Sukuna’s Vessel… What the fuck am I compared to them?”
The room was quiet of shock. Suguru, who was about to move to make her release her grip on her hair, remained in his spot, staring at his student with a look of uneasiness. Satoru gripped her knees harder, biting the inside of his cheek.
Shoko felt a wave of deja vu wash through her.
Shoko realizes that Nobara tends to walk into her office without knocking and thinks back to the day it all started. She also realizes she has accidentally taken on a parental role.

Geto smiled sadly, “Hi Yuuji,” He glanced at his cheek, noticing Sukuna before leaning down, “What happened?”
Yuuji shrugged, “Had to eat another finger today,”
Geto nodded, “Mhm, and?”
“Didn’t like it. Made my throat hurt since I wasn’t-” He waved his arms around, “Excited and all that,”
“Do you mean full of adrenaline, like the first time?” He asked.
“Yeah, that. Since I was just sitting in a room with Gojo-sensei I felt, like, everything. And then after training, I tried to sleep but,” He nodded towards the toilet, “That happened.”
Geto nodded in sympathy. Yuuji had a feeling he knew what it felt like. He had to swallow Curses every single day. For years.
Yuuji has to swallow another of Sukuna's fingers. This time, he throws up and calls his teacher to help him.

Satoru smiled, “I mean, it worked out fine, right? I doubt they understand anything I teach them anyway. They deserve some time to themselves.”
“It’s Tuesday. They still need to graduate with a high school diploma at the minimum.” Suguru countered.
Satoru lowered his face, his bright blue eyes looking at him with an unusually serious expression on, “Nobara hasn’t been sleeping properly.” Suguru snuck a glance over at her. It was easy to make out the darkening skin under her eyes and the slight drowsiness of her movements. “We can always fake a diploma or whatever. I doubt any of them will end up deciding to leave in the future. What’s important is that they understand basic self-care now. Or they never will.”
Suguru bit his lip, nodding solemnly, “I suppose. I just don’t want them to be behind and-”
A grounding hand placed itself on Suguru’s back, gently rubbing up and down, “They won’t be. You know all of us won’t allow it.”
3 times the students fell asleep around their teachers, and the 1 time the teachers fell asleep around their students.

“If you’re here on some mission the Higher-Ups gave you,” Hakari interrupted, raising the can, “Then you can take your leave now. We’re not interested.”
Suguru couldn’t help but snort at that, while Satoru rolled his eyes. He leaned over and placed his elbows on his knees, “ I just came here to talk to you guys.”
“What do you wanna talk about? Weird to have the Strongest Duo here at Gachinko. And I doubt you’re here to participate in the fight club.” Hakari asked.
Satoru sighed, his fingers reaching up to play with the edge of his blindfold. Embarrassment began to creep up his throat, “I… wanted to apologize.”
The room seemed to freeze for a moment. Both the ex-students' faces contorted into something of confusion and slight curiosity. It wasn’t often the strongest jujutsu sorcerers of modern history would travel all the way to apologize in person.
“Apologize for what?”
Satoru apologizes to Hakari and Kirara for not being the good teacher he should've been for them.

“I said, wait!” Satoru repeated, his voice tinged with concern as he finally reached her side.
His hand found her shoulder, applying the slightest pressure in an attempt to gather her attention. But before he could say another word, a shout pierced through the air, shattering the tense silence of the room.
“DON’T TOUCH ME!” Nobara screamed, her voice filled with raw fear and anguish, as she recoiled from Satoru’s touch, her eyes wild with panic.
Like a reflex, his Infinity surged to life, the barrier forming around him in a desperate attempt to shield himself from whatever harm he’d done to his student.
“I-” Satoru hesitated, his voice trembling with guilt and remorse. “Sorry, I didn't mean to-”
But before he could finish his sentence, Nobara cut in, her words strained and choked with emotion. “My arm hurts,” She confessed, her voice breaking as tears welled up in her eyes. “My arm hurts but it also doesn’t hurt and I feel like I’m going to die.”
After the Death Painting Arc, Nobara feels weird phantom pain on her left side. Satoru can't help but worry for her but also understand.

Carefully, Megumi reached up, grabbing two in his hands and pulling them out. The first book in his hands seemed to have years of dust piled up on it. Wincing, he blew it away with his free hand, cringing at the dust that flew off it.
The green book’s gold title revealed itself and he read it with confusion.

“What…?” He mumbled to himself. The other book he managed to pick up was grey. He did the same, blowing the dust off and reading the title with confusion that was slowly beginning to turn into curiosity.

The curiosity he previously harboured began to bubble up more. He didn’t know Satoru attended University. If he did, why was he so interested in physics? Did he even have a degree?
When Megumi is alone in Gojo's room for a bit, he gets curious and starts snooping around in his bookshelf. He didn't realize how little he knew about his guardian.

"SHUT UP!” Maki finally let out, holding her polearm out, her left leg being pulled back to balance herself, “Stop talking, and just fight me!”
“No,” Suguru continued to speak calmly, which did nothing but anger her more. “Please, just explain to me what’s wrong, and we can figure this out–”
With a scowl, she dropped her arm. “Wow.” She said softly, scoffing as she started to turn around, keeping her gaze on him.
“I thought you would’ve loved to fight a curse-less monkey like me.” She spat out.
With that, she threw her polearm in front of his feet, watching the white feather turn brown from the mud. Glancing up, Suguru’s expression turned into one of realization and hurt. Some part of her was glad. At least he looked how she felt.
She didn’t turn back around as she walked away and pretended that Suguru remaining quiet didn’t hurt her as much as it did.
Maki finds out that her favourite teacher Geto used to not like non-sorcerers.

“I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t CARE!” Megumi’s words erupted like a volcano, his frustration boiling over into tears as he stomped his feet. Satoru was so sad he hadn’t even realized Megumi didn’t want to hear him talk about his death. It was sad and Megumi wanted it to stop.
“I just wanna talk to you about cool stuff! Like, like, Digimon and the cartoons we watch! I wanna talk about my Cursed Technique and going to Jujutsu High! I don’t wanna hear about how he killed you! I don’t care!” His voice cracked with emotion, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air.
He cried because Satoru wasn’t able to when he should’ve been allowed to.
It wasn’t fair.
“W–What are you talking about? What cool stuff, I–?”
“I just wanna talk to you about Hydreigon, but you won’t listen to me! Just listen to me, stop talking about how you died! Just stop, stop!” He sobbed out, his fingers digging into his palm as he angrily stared up at his shocked guardian.
Megumi gets a new Pokemon card and all he wants to do is show his guardian. But with his death anniversary coming up, Gojo is stuck in the past and can't seem to understand.

A low murmur, accompanied by the soft glow of a phone screen, filled the space, “It’s nearing 4 o’clock.” Came the reply, each word laced with a mixture of concern and understanding.
He sighed, burrowing his face deeper into the pillow that was clutched in his arms. He didn’t have enough energy to feel embarrassed about it. “‘M sorry,” He muttered.
A familiar voice grew closer to him, a strong and slim hand coming to rest gently on his messy hair, “There’s nothing to apologize for, Megs.” The voice responded, its soothing tone a bandage to his tired soul.
Megumi can't find the mental strength to get out of bed. His teachers check up on him.

For a second, just a second, she thought she heard Mai’s voice, sharp and annoyed, telling her she was tracking blood everywhere. The thought hit like a misstep on a staircase. Her chest tightened. She swallowed and pressed her tongue to the roof of her mouth until the feeling passed.
Somewhere down the hall, footsteps echoed that were familiar. She recognized the rhythm without thinking about it, the way someone might recognize the weight of someone’s cursed energy even when they were trying to keep it light. They slowed as they passed her door.
The door slid open.
“Y’know,” Gojo said, voice light, “there are way more subtle ways to announce you’ve wiped out a whole dang clan.”
Maki didn’t look away from the wall. She could practically hear the smile in the idiot’s voice.
“That being said, you accidentally tracked blood into the building… so,”
Oh.
There was a pause behind her. The door slid shut.
After the fall of the Zen’in clan, Maki returns to Jujutsu High for a slow evening with her teachers.
