Summary
It took Wilbur a solid minute to register exactly what he was seeing, staring blankly as he let his arms fall to his sides, as two wide eyes met his own.
Two wide, big blue eyes, framed with messy golden curls, and red, pudgy dirt-stained cheeks.
The kid couldn't be any older than two. Looking at Wilbur with equal measures of fear and curiosity, the child stumbled back to his feet and stared at him. He was wearing a little red and white shirt that looked a bit too big for him, covered in dirt and mud almost from head to toe. Twigs stuck out from his hair, leaves stuck to his skin. Bruises were painted up and down his arms, little things left by bumps and tumbles, like the one he'd just taken. His eyes were as blue as the sky, as Phil's, and his hair was curly like Wilbur's, and if he didn't know any better, the boy would swear up and down that this child was somehow related to him.
