Summary
When Cuddy hires Dr. (Y/N), a newly trained diagnostic fellow with an irritating habit of challenging Gregory House and occasionally being right, House decides she’s going to be a problem. Naturally, he starts flirting with her. Then she starts flirting back. Late night cases, motorcycle rides, jealousy, one unfortunately shared hotel bed, and months of unresolved sexual tension eventually blur the line between colleagues and something considerably less professional. They agree it’s casual.... But it isn’t, because House can handle sex and he can handle wanting her, however what he can’t handle is realizing somewhere along the way that he fell first, and that (Y/N) has gotten dangerously close to the parts of him he never lets anyone see.
