When Ron first experienced being cornered after detention in a classroom he never imagined it to be by Malfoy. And being locked in the room with 'His Majesty The Albino Ferret' did not do wonders to his already souring mood.
He just wanted to go back to the Common Room and rest on the couches, with firelight and sticky toffee while Hermione and Harry did their research for the third trial.
But life just wasn't fair was it? Nope. Not at all.
Instead of having peace (well, as much peace as he could get in Hogwarts), he was stuck, in a temporary 'truce'.
Only two rules:
Date Pansy Parkinson.
Help Malfoy date his best friend.Which was fine (Sort of.) He gets to date the love of his life and also watch the disaster of Draco's love life from front row seats.
A win in his book really. He could be the perfect wing-man if he had to be.
So, what if they actually seem to develop a friendship because of this temporary 'truce'? Call it character development.
They had only one goal after all: Date Pansy Parkinson and Harry Potter.
Easy peasy. (Delusion wrote itself honestly-).
