Vincent has spent fucking ages chasing an infuriatingly elusive man, tracking him all the way into the bayou.
When he finally gets the drop on Alastor in his twisted cabin, he doesn’t want to kill him or even stop him. He wants a partnership. If Alastor wants to summon demons, he’s game, as long as Alastor helps him keep the network entertaining. But Alastor doesn’t trust easily, and it takes more than ensnaring him to prove any kind of loyalty.
Vincent is obsessed, and he will do anything to prove himself to Alastor. Alastor is very willing to see what “anything” looks like.

Vincent visibly perked up, glad Alastor was showing an open mind, grinning like an idiot, which the other abhorred. “That’s when we talk. You tell me what you like, what you don’t like, and we try it out.”
“I wouldn’t exactly know.”
“Did you like last night?”
“What exactly?” he wanted to say, but instead, he fell silent, quietly calculating what he should say in response—something that gets him what he wants while also freeing him from having to admit it.
Vincent sighed and rephrased, “Did you like my hands touching you?”
Alastor stared at him, his cheeks visibly reddening at the reminder, making Vincent smirk at him as he failed to come up with a dignified reply.
Yes, the answer was yes.

Vincent always does his best to reign Alastor in from murdering people on the spot. When he manages to get their victim out to an alleyway, and he starts calling them a couple, Vincent makes a realization about himself. He doesn’t notice that Alastor is unfazed. Instead, he begins to deny that Alastor would ever be interested in them being together. Right? Right. Of course—thinking otherwise is delusional.
