Summary
After months of negotiations, Ryan and Shane are given permission to do a weekend long investigation for Unsolved at The Overlook, a famously haunted hotel which is left abandoned during the fall and winter seasons due to severe weather conditions and its relative isolation.
Once left on their own, what Shane had thought would be a fun weekend turns into a fight for survival when Ryan becomes possessed by the very demon he was hunting.

So, why should life with the now retired hockey player be any departure from what he has come to accept as his lot in life?
Despite the fact that curiosity has only ever gotten Ilya into trouble, he can't help but wonder why Canada's golden boy never visited his own grandfather? And why would his former owner, who loved to see Ilya suffer, will him away to a man so endearing, and mild mannered, that Ilya is struggling to not let his defences down? There has to be a catch, and Ilya is determined not to fall for such a trap.

Then his phone started blowing up.
His mom was on him immediately about the summer schedule—photoshoots in Toronto, sponsor appearances, youth camps, PR events for the Voyagers. The team was calling about post-season press. Everyone wanted a piece of Shane Hollander, the perfect golden boy, the disciplined athlete who always said the right thing and smiled for the cameras.
Standing in his apartment, watching his screen light up over and over, Shane snapped. He didn't understand why he was hyperventilating or why he felt like he was losing his mind, but he knew with certainty that if he let his mom or the team control him for one more second, he was going to shatter into pieces.
He didn't explain himself, nor did he answer a single text.
Shane tapped into his settings, pulled up his contacts, and went down the line blocking everyone. His mom. His agent. The Voyagers' PR manager. Ilya. He booked a flight to Kansai, packed three shirts and his passport into a bag, and left his phone face down on the kitchen counter. He was getting on a plane to Kyoto for one reason: to figure out what the fuck was wrong with him.

Shane and Ilya invite Wyatt over for a Games Night, except that the games they want to play have much less to do with dice or cards or tiny moving pieces and far more to do with having as much sex with Wyatt as they possibly can in a twenty four hour period. Wyatt is so incredibly down with this situation.
