Summary
Buck doesn’t know which floor they are headed to, just that they need help.
However, the two quickly realize that help isn’t coming as the elevator screeches abruptly to a halt. The lights go out, replaced by a singular dim bulb in the far corner, and the emergency red lights begin to flash at them.
Buck can hear Eddie’s wheezing breaths below him as he freezes in time. They’re stuck.
