Jason can see ghosts. Dick is one of the most important people in Jason's life (as one of the only Bats who actively tries to talk to him and as his long-standing crush/person he's hopelessly in love with) and he is not in a good place when Dick appears to him as a ghost. They find the guy who killed Dick and stop him from hurting more humans (the reason Dick had been investigating in the first place), Jason makes Constantine help him bring Dick back to life. It works, and the two of them live happily ever after.
And of course the sequel explores that although things go well, trauma exists and their method of resurrection (a curse binding the two of them until death) does not cure self-hatred and depression :)
