Summary
The light of your eyes are the windows to the soul.
Shadow has always been able to see lights, in all living beings around him. He just happens to be the unlucky one born without any in his eyes, but that's alright. A light only ever symbolizes weakness.
At least, it did. And then he started seeing them in Sonic's eyes.
.
.
.A character exploration of sorts, around Shadow and his relationship with other people.

You know. OP said that they weren’t sure how it’d come out, seeing that they were a gen fic first author. But you know—it’s primarily the gen fic writers that really objectively see a pair for what it is, without the baggage of ships or smut or any other agenda. I’d say that it flowed pretty smoothly. I’m a bit jealous.
Great work—and wonderful job accomplishing so much with so few words.
