Summary
When the teleportation rune landed them in an unknown territory, Sam was prepared to improvise. He’d come too far, after all, to let Eret slip from his grasp before he got the answers for which he’d been so desperately searching. It didn’t matter all that much anyway, all he had to do was buy enough time for Lindsay and Marquess Manifold’s workers to track them down to the new location.
Except things seem to go off the rails almost immediately, and returning home wasn't as easy a task as simply activating the correct teleportation rune.
For better or worse, he and Eret were stuck, leaving Sam with limited options on how to move forward. He wasn’t sure if it helped that they were now surrounded by genius outcasts as they tried to find their way home, but whatever happened, he would protect his family.
