“I’m the only one who can do this!” Remus had retorted, broken and furious, exhaustion etched into every new line and crease in his weather worn face.
Their bubbling discontent had been directly correlated with the fact that, after years of quiet office research and paper pushing with Hermione, Remus wanted to be back in the field. Restless and haunted, frustrated with the molasses crawl of government initiatives, Remus had wanted to do more. Wanted to prove he still could.
Sirius, quietly content with their happy little life, wanted him to do significantly less.

UGH TOO REAL
[He made a point to touch Remus every time he walked by. Running a hand across Remus’s shoulders, brushing his overlong curls out of his eyes, kissing his cheek. After a slow breakfast of this, Remus’s bemused confusion at the endless attention was morphing slowly into a shy kind of hopefulness.
