Summary
"Sara. Why be so calm?" were her father's words that rang in her ears like a curse.
The story of one Sara Berry and her path to (prom) queendom. The last few weeks before prom arrived, though it seems as if the stars had fallen out of favour with her. With her (so-called) boyfriend breaking up, her best friends talking behind her back, her mental health lay in ruins. And then there was that fucking Julie Jenkins, who was on her way to win the race out of sheer pity.
Altough once Julie and Sara shared an experience that neither of them could ever forget. Would the future not turn out better, if the two of them walked the path hand-in-hand? Though the world is cruel at times, sharing the pain lessens the burden.
The story takes place a few weeks before the prom and it asks the question: If the violence inside of Sara's heart hadn't been unleashed at the prom, what would have happened with it?
(or, through the power of gayness and murderous intent, may they overcome all the obstacles to happiness)
