He remembers the soft look Etho had given him, before taking it into his hands. He remembers the way he laughed as he unfolded it, correcting Joel's misspelling of 'Marry'. He remembers taking both of his hands into his, twin laughter and not quite understanding what being married meant. He remembers Etho pulling down his mask to smile, a gift just for him to see.
He doesn't remember his smile anymore.
