Chapter Text
Mammon woke up in an unusual position. His body felt like it was nearly upright. In fact, his feet were touching something, almost like he was standing on it. Something strange was going on here. How had he not shifted out of place? He tried to move, and found some sort of restraints holding him in place. Now, more awake, he realized that he was strapped down to some sort of cushioned table, angled so that he was almost vertical. Something was very, very wrong. His eyes shot open, his breathing quickening. There was only darkness. He strained to listen for any sounds he could hear, but was met with a cold and heavy silence. Mammon gulped. Not only was something wrong with where he was, but his body felt wrong. It felt…off. He felt fragile and helpless, almost like…a human…
“G-guys?” he whispered into the void, desperately hoping this was some sort of sick joke one of his brothers were responsible for. He would never admit it, but in that moment, he wanted nothing more than to hear M/C’s comforting voice. It never came. He began to tremble, his breathing uneven, “This isn’t funny!” he shouted this time, gritting his teeth. Another voice spoke from the dark, hesitant, but familiar.
“Mammon? Is that you? What’s going on? Is this your doing?” Lucifer's uncharacteristic uncertainty pierced the emptiness of the room.
“L-Lucifer! It’s me! Listen. I dunno what’s going on, but can ya please help me? If this is a dumb prank, I swear I’m not in on it. I’d never…” Mammon gulped, “I-I can’t move and…I really wanna get outta here right now!” Mammon failed to hide the fear in his voice. Lucifer sighed.
“Is that so? Mammon, I’m afraid I can’t help you…”
“What!? Why not!?” Mammon's wail reverberated through the room.
“I can’t seem to move either…and I believe that, unsettlingly, I’ve been transformed into a human.”
“I just woke up! What’s going on!?” a panicked Asmodeus interrupted the two, and before a response could be given, the room was filled with the voices of seven confused and fearful brothers, all talking over one another, trying to assess the situation. Suddenly, a booming voice silenced them all, and once the brothers realized who it was, they dared not interrupt.
“It is true, my dear Lucifer. You and all your delightfully unruly brothers have undergone a little transformation,” Diavolo chuckled, a cold and sinister joy in his words,''No longer are you a powerful demon of the underworld. You are nothing but mere humans now. So fragile and helpless,” his footsteps echoed in the dark, growing closer and closer to Lucifer until the avatar of pride was sure he was just beside him. It was silent for a moment, Lucifer's heart pounding as he struggled to comprehend what was happening. This was Diavolo. How could he do such a thing? Of all demons to betray them, why did it have to be him? Why Diavolo? “Pity,” the demon lord's voice spoke into his ear, causing his whole body to jolt with fright.
“Diavolo…I don’t understand…” Lucifer felt his voice breaking as he fought to keep back his tears, feeling his heart ache at the thought of Diavolo not being who he thought he was.
“It’s simple. I like to hurt. Seeing people suffer pain and humiliation, it brings me such feelings of exhilaration. Feelings of immeasurable joy. These feelings...they pierce my very soul, dear Lucifer. The pleasure and satisfaction of it is far greater than any other experience could even hope to bring. ‘It would be so satisfying to torment the seven brothers,’ I thought to myself. Oh, Lucifer…poor Lucifer,” Diavolo caressed the ex-demon’s face. He would never admit it, but Lucifer revelled in the touch, his face flushing as a pleased sigh escaped his lips.
“Diavolo…please…” Embarrassed, he gritted his teeth and pulled himself together, but not before Diavolo noticed his behavior.
“I know of your feelings for me…It’s really no secret. Your heart still yearns for me, no? Tragic that is, really. You yearn for a sadistic liar,” he gave one of his innocent sounding laughs. Definitely not fitting for the current situation, the sound sent chills down the spines of every brother. A kiss was placed atop Lucifer's head. His chest fluttered against his will. The affection was only serving to further break his heart. Finally, Diavolo returned to the center of the room and it filled with hot white light, stinging the brothers eyes.
“Ah! Much better. Now everyone can see!” He smiled and surveyed the room. The appearance of such a usually friendly demeanor eased some of the tension in the room despite the heavy circumstances.
“Ngh…h-hey…I was sleeping,” Belphegor muttered drowsily.
“My beauty is being ruined, restrained like this!” Asmodeus pouted.
“Ughhh…I’m so hungry,” Beelzebub whined, stomach growling loudly. Nobody seemed to notice Diavolo growing annoyed, too focused on their own woes.
“I feel sick…” Satan groaned, his feverish state reddinging his face.
“I’m missing my favorite show!” Leviathan complained, “I won’t let you get between me and-”
“SHUT UP!!” The room shook with Diavolo’s fury. Everyone returned to silence except for Mammon, who was softly whimpering. Attention turned to him. He was squirming, trying to push his legs together. Seeing everyone was now looking at him, he averted his eyes and flushed pink.
“Quit starin’ at me. I…I just gotta pee.” Mammon huffed and minimized his movements. Diavolo smiled.
“Looks like I know just where to start the fun.” he approached Mammon and teasingly pressed beneath his belly. Mammon groaned and struggled against his restraints. Diavolo giggled and pressed harder, “Poor baby~ You need to go potty?”
“Please! Diavolo, come on!” Mammon bit his lip, tears of shame and fear welling in his eyes, “If ya keep doing that, I’ll…u-ugh!-” squeezing his eyes shut, he turned his head toward the ground, trying to remove himself from the situation. He had leaked quite heavily into his boxers. Trembling, he continued his pleas, “Please stop! I really can’t…It’s too much!” his voice strained.
“Leave him alone!” Asmodeus interrupted them, feeling pity for his brother. He couldn’t stand for Mammon being degraded and humiliated like this. He felt his heart sink when Diavolo turned and glared at him.
“Brat! Talking back to me like that…” Diavolo now held a horse whip, nearing Asmodeus, who couldn’t help but blush, “I’ll make sure you don’t enjoy this, stupid slut.” A loud slapping sound filled the room, quickly followed by a cry of pain. The others cringed at the sound. Fresh hot tears began to fall from Asmos eyes. He sniffled. His cheek was already bruising, the pain lingering. He looked at Mammon, who met his eyes and mouthed a thanks.
“I’m sorry! Don’t ruin my beautiful face!” he was whipped again, this time harder. He screamed through gritted teeth. The skin was now broken, blood seeping out through several spots where it had become too tender to hold to his face. He had never been hit so hard in his life.
“Diavolo, you sick bastard! Don’t hurt him! Hurt me instead!” Satan growled. Asmodeus cried softly.
“Oh, we have a volunteer?” Diavolo moved on to Satan, looming over him. The avatar of wrath spit on his coat. Diavolo glared, “You’ll regret that. I’ve made my decision. I’ll start with you.” Diavolo turned to leave the room.
“What the hell are you talking about!?” Satan demanded, but he was met with no response…
