Something pulled and her keys went flying out of her hands. They landed on the floor with a sharp clang of metal against wood. Swallowing, Nancy curled her fingers. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything. She was just so tired; all the little things—their keys on the ground, doors slamming shut, the television or lights turning on and off randomly. They were wearing on her.
