Summary
After the fall of Voldemort, the students whose 7th year was so heavily impacted by the war and the Death Eater-takeover at Hogwarts have been called back to retake their last year of school. The power balances in the wizarding world are shifting, but at Hogwarts, the old alliances remain unchanged. The animosity between Slytherin and Gryffindor is as strong as ever, and while Draco is trying to restore some of the lost power and influence of House Malfoy, everyone is trying to come to terms with what happened during the war and who they are now. Voldemort may be gone, but it would be a lie to say that all is well.

Summary
Life’s hard. I should know. I didn’t have the best one; in fact, it sucked. Though, so many years later, I know it could have been worse. I could have killed myself the first time. Kuroo didn’t have to find me, to reach out for me like he did. I hated it then, I hated him; trying to help a kid he hadn’t seen for 12 years. And in that 12 years that kid, me, had become broken--I thought i wasn't worth saving. But 8 years later, I’m thankful. That he got to me at the time he did. If it was any later, I would have been dead; but any earlier and I know I wouldn’t have opened up to him. It does get better. You may hate it as it happens, and better doesn’t mean it’s quickly, but think about where you are now, and then in five years, eight years, maybe ten, look back and see how much you have grown and hopefully, with a little help from others and the belief that you can get out, you will be in a better place.
