Summary
Dream had grown up in an empty house. Being an only child and having a mother that liked her job more than making sure you were okay tended to do that to you.
And it was...It was fine. He'd figured out how to deal with it by now and he'd long since figured out how to make sure people didn't suspect anything.
At least, he had figured out how to do that part when thinking normally. Doing it while sick out of his mind and running off a craving for some kind of affection was an entirely different story.

Techno knew Dream well enough to know when he was glaring, even behind the mask. “Why are you so- ugh. I don’t like you. I regret waiting for you to wake up so we can get out of here. I’m gonna just leave you here next time, you ungrateful ass.”
“Next time?” Techno asked, one eyebrow arched. “You’re plannin’ on getting us kidnapped again?”
Dream sighed, shifting in his chair, presumably doing something with his hands. “Oh, come on. You’re twisting my words now. That’s not what I meant and we both know it.”
“Sureeee.”
“Remind me to hit you when I get out of these ropes. Several times. With a stick, preferably,” Dream muttered, still wiggling around in some sad attempt to get out and becoming increasingly frustrated when nothing happened.

He's out and nothing is what he expected and his sanity isn't just fraying at the edges, it's completely unraveling and slipping through his fingers.
But he doesn't really have it in him to care. It seems so trivial in comparison to the fact that after so long sitting in a dark, burning cell and gaining more scars than he could ever count, he's free.

Summary
In the middle of yet another Manhunt, Dream manages to get thrown into a lake and somehow finds himself in the cabin of a pink-haired piglin hybrid and a strange man with a bucket hat- neither of which he'd seen before.
Meanwhile, a group of concerned hunters decided to jump in after him and an hour later, are just about ready to get in a fight with people that look exactly like them.
In between it all, a blonde sits in his prison cell, bruised and bloodied, but maybe, finally having a chance to get out of there.

Summary
Out of all the times Techno thought he was going to first see Dream out in his civilian clothes, it wasn’t when the other was stumbling around a grocery store, looking completely out of it.
To be fair, Dream did most of the time Techno saw him. But this was even worse than usual. He was completely bundled up in a thick hoodie, eyes dropping, face flushed, and looking completely utterly miserable. And after a moment of watching the other, it clicked.
The idiot was sick.
The idiot was sick and he had, for some stupid reason, decided to come to the store instead of staying at home.

Attacked by some group of ability users? They will take care of it after a short nap.
Dazai being a menace to every living being? Sure, that’s just how he is.
Dazai calling a certain Port Mafia Executive to anger him while giggling like a teenager for most of it? It lost its spark around the fifteenth time he did it.
Dazai asking for a kiss from the mentioned Mafia Executive? That’s a little strange but nothing is a surprise anymore.
But the Port Mafia Executive Nakahara Chuuya, the ability user feared upon everyone accepting to do it?
That’s unbelievable.
TL,DR; Dazai and Chuuya have an argument and reveal their relationship in front of the ADA & Port Mafia

How dare he think for a second that he was worth enough for his life to be worried about. How dare he reach for help when he’d hurt others. How dare he feel when he’d caused so much pain.
Wasn’t it easier to kill a monster when you saw them as such? When a monster cried could you still call them heartless?
He’d burned his clock after Sam left. He’d wanted to see his brother again. He’d wanted to try to find a way to apologize for everything he’d done so Sam would just kill him. So that he could rest for once in his miserable life and do something right for a change.

“I said I’d do it,” Sapnap said blankly, blinking back tears as Dream sobbed, trying again to curl in on himself further only to be stopped by the stabbing pain from the arrow still lodged in his back. “I told you I’d be the one to take your last life.”
Or in which Sapnap does as he promised and engages in a manhunt to catch a newly escaped Dream, but that’s not the only promise he made, nor the only one he would follow through with.
