Summary
Gerard recently moved to California, a place where he doesn't belong, to support his wife's career. He becomes the primary caregiver for their four-year-old daughter, which sometimes feels like a natural progression after his wife spent years putting her own life on hold for Gerard and his career.
But that sense of normalcy begins to unravel when he meets Frank, his daughter's twenty-two-year-old pre-K teacher. Covered in childish tattoos, Frank clashes with Gerard in more ways than one—until he opens the door to his world, and Gerard falls immediately for him.

Assigned by Joyride Magazine to cover the grand opening of a grotesque Las Vegas casino, Frank Iero finds himself groveling toward Nevada in the midst of a mid-life burnout with a ten-thousand word copy due on deadline. He has a rental car, a twelve pack of beer, and a bad attitude.
And then he meets a hitchhiker on the side of the two-lane desert highway. A tour-de-force, an artist-turned-drifter, the total fucking enigma that is Gerard Way piles into his Mercedes and off they go. Of course Frank's willing to give them a ride. Of course they're breezing into Vegas with the very same goal: To Look At Art.
Will they ever get to the galleries and card tables, slot machines and stage shows?
Unlikely. They can't even figure out to share a bed.

The two boys began trading hits, yelling at the top of their lungs. Bruce turned back to the webcam just as Damian leapt on top of Tim’s back, a high-pitched battle cry torn from his lips.
“Mr. Hodges,” he said cheerfully, unflinching as Tim threw Damian into the wet bar sink. “Have you had a chance to examine the chart I pointed out?”

Trust me, Gerard Way is okay. He has a great group of friends, he just got some new additions to his comic book collection, and best of all, his band has just released their debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. Sure, he doesn’t quite know where he stands with Frank, his impossibly beautiful rhythm guitarist, but he feels hopeful that Frank might just like him back.
Then, Gerard’s future self, from the far-off year of 2019, arrives with a grave warning. Frank will die in a bus crash in 2016 unless the two of them team up to stop it from happening. As he recruits his various selves from different eras to join the mission, Gerard crashes his own wedding, gets hunted down by a mysterious organization called the Watch, falls even more in love with Frank, and desperately hopes that he can be what tomorrow needs.
