Summary
Caleb let out a breath he didn’t know he had been holding. “Well…looks like we found our next clue.”
But Essek didn’t seem to have heard him. He had leaned so close to the map that his nose nearly brushed the paper. “There’s something there, where the line ends.”
He squinted, eyes straining at the fine detailing of the map. “It just looks like a part of the mountain to me.”
Essek huffed. “I keep telling you that you need glasses,” he muttered impatiently.
“You’re cute when you’re cranky,” Caleb said, and maybe it was the ale that had made him brave, or that high of discovery, but for once he didn’t regret the words once they were out of his mouth.
***
In the wake of Trent’s trial, Caleb and Essek find themselves in a remote corner of Wildmount with each other, a book, and a map that tells of an ancient mage’s secrets.
As the mystery unravels, landing closer to home than either had realised at first, who knows — Fate has never been kind to Caleb, but maybe this possibility will work out.

Summary
Within the library of Caleb's tower, Essek finds a strange book without a title. He could ask Caleb about it, but that would mean admitting that he's been reading the books there.
A low-key "getting together" fic, or possibly a "realizing you already are together" fic.

Jester followed his gaze, her eyes widening as the pieces clicked into place. “Oh shit, so you’re saying Kingsley imprinted on you like a baby duck?”
Fjord scratched at his salt and pepper beard. “Feels that way. He certainly decided fairly quickly that of all the things he could choose to be, he wanted to be a pirate.”
“Does that mean you’re his mama?” Jester’s grin was trickery personified- wicked and gleeful and promising mockery for days to come.
“Absolutely not,” he said, gently.

Summary
For all the innate magic they possess, for all the power curling beneath their skin, Ashton Greymoore does not possess the most base of all magics in Exandria. He thinks, at one point, he may have, but then his father took him, and twisted him up into a mockery of the soft thing he once was, and left him blank stone skinned. They do not remember if they had soulmarks or not, when they were young, and soft, and maybe happy. But they do not have them now, so trying to remember would probably just hurt more than anything else.
~
Ashton's sure they don't have soulmarks anymore. That doesn't stop them from wanting to belong with Bell's Hells more than anything.
