Summary
The war is over. Everyone has found their place in the Universe. Hunk and Pidge are working on cool projects to help the Blades and Garrison explore and help various races throughout the galaxies, Allura and Coran are building New Altea, and Keith is working with the Blades to restore balance to planets still infested with Galra rebels. But one year after they've ended the fight against the tyranical empire, Lance goes missing. With a gut instinct guiding him, Keith heads into the desert to his forgotten shack—an old hideout where Lance once joked he could escape everything. Together they brave the realities of their new lives and help each other realize they are not their traumas.

Kon was like a caged bird. Beautiful and majestic, meant only to be admired and put on a pedestal. Forced into an arranged marriage with the King of the Underworld after his heart was stolen, the little bird could only sit in his cage and rot away. Maybe he'll die before he is ever free, or perhaps the prison holds another prisoner. One clad in black and pale as snow. Maybe they can make the most of being trapped together.

“So?” Pidge asked as soon as the doors swooshed shut behind them. “What’s the emergency?” Lance sighed, dragging his feet.
“Technically… there isn’t one.” Lance stretched out the beginning of his sentence only to rush the rest, quickly continuing over the sound of Hunk groaning loudly and Pidge yelling, “Lance!”. “However, it’s something that’s very important to me that I don’t want the whole damn castle overhearing, so the courtyard is still appropriate.”
Pidge rolled her eyes as Hunk sighed, both of them sinking onto the bench as Lance came to a stop in front of them, already pacing back and forth.
“Fine, then,” Pidge relented, crossing her arms over her chest. “Why are we out here? I was doing important work with Coran.” Lance scowled at her, curling his fingers into loose fists.
“This is important too! I met a cute boy. Well, I didn’t really meet him, but I saw him, and I know his name and how old he is and everything.”

Keith turned to quirk an eyebrow at Shiro. “Where are you going with this?”
It was getting close to 10:00pm, when Keith’s shift was over. It had been a slow night, lots of college students seemed to have abandoned the town for the weekend due to the absence of a football game. Keith had spent almost as much time out on runs as he’d spent waiting for more orders, and most of the other delivery personnel had been sent home already.
Hardly able to contain his amusement, Shiro turned the computer screen so that Keith could read the order himself.
“No. Absolutely not.”
“Oh c’mon..”
“I always get sent on these stupid runs and it’s always really drunk sorority girls and it’s always annoying.”
“The name on this account says Lance McClain. That doesn't sound like a sorority girl to me.”
Or that College AU where Keith studies art and Lance wants to be an elementary school teacher. Keith delivers pizza to pay the rent, and Lance orders pizza. Life ensues.
