“Brilliant,” said Philza. “If everybody’s here, then.” He clicked a button on a small remote and a screen behind him slid out of the wall. “This is the target for the next job. Las Nevadas.” The screen behind him showed a brilliant neon-lit street backed with blocky non-descript buildings. “Gambling site, research site, and absolute fucking political powerhouse. Estimated take for this job is twelve point five million. Each.”
“So we’re hitting the casino?” Tubbo said, mouth full of cookie. “Fuck, too hot.”
“The casino isn’t where the money is,” Technoblade cut in. “The casino bankrolls the research arm, which is so valuable at this point that their security is probably better than the casino.”
“What we’re going after specifically is their latest development, a toy for the super-rich.” The display screens switched to show off a small gold figurine set with emeralds. “They market it as a ‘Totem of Undying’, and it’s the best medical assistance money can buy.”
Or: Everybody in this heist gets superpowers and competence, including (unfortunately) our antagonists.

Summary
It had been Tommy and Tubbo for practically forever. They clawed their way out of hell together. They discovered their superpowers together. They started working for the Superhero Guild together before even coming of age. Tommy probably owed Tubbo his life ten times over. So, when the three supervillains he'd been assigned to bring in managed to take Tubbo hostage, well, there was really only one thing to do.
He knew, of course, he was signing himself up for torture and death by offering that trade, but that was okay.
It'd have to be okay.

Summary
Tubbo chose Tommy first. Before they escaped the prison they were born into, before they had their powers, before they were pressed into heroism, before a group of villains offered them an alternative, Tubbo chose Tommy. And so, Tommy chose him back every time. Even when Tubbo would have preferred he hadn’t.
Six months into living with the SBI, and Tommy has almost gotten used to not having to always be Tubbo’s shield. They may be villains, but their promises of protection have proven more genuine than the heroes’ ever were.
Yet, threats thought long buried are rising once again. Echoes of a bygone timeline seem to push the world towards an inevitable apocalypse once more. Can the SBI protect Tubbo and Tommy from threats they still don’t fully understand even after living their lives twice? Can Tommy keep what he has gained, or will something be shaken loose?
A bit of advice from someone long gone: “Keep the things you love close.”
… Or you may not be able to shield them.

Summary
And suddenly, Tubbo got it. He finally could understand the reason for committing crimes horrendous enough to have warranted tossing his entire bloodline into the Pit. He wasn’t much for family anymore, but he could feel his ancestors’ blood boiling in his veins. Wither and die, he thought, and though he did not have his great-grandmother’s powers, he thought he could probably work something out.
If the so called superheroes weren't going to save Tubbo's friend, Tubbo would rip the city apart looking for him himself. (With some help from Ranboo.)
