Though the notebook is in Light’s desk, Light has written it on paper all around the house for what could have been the last few thousand years. Even if it was a mere few of them.
Or, really, months.
“But you would know more of me,” L confesses like it’s a crime. “And I was not… utterly ready and fully prepared for it.”
Light understands it - though it never fails to piss him off.

Summary
They say, the best liars use the truth, and L is a very good liar. He wields the truth like a weapon, though it cuts both ways. A self-inflicted wound hardly hurts at all.
Light likes to pretend. Safe, behind the mask. Sometimes, however, the act is genuine. The truth, wrapped-up in a thin layer of artifice.
And if you’re good enough at reading the other person, lies cease to be lies, at all. They just become another form of communication.

Summary
L watched him with an intensity like he wanted to tear through him, search for a truth, any truth, that he seemed to be so sure lied somewhere inside him. What there could be to find, besides what he already freely bared to the world, Light didn’t know. Why L cared so much, Light understood even less.
Light wasn’t Kira, but maybe he could be.

Summary
Light was sent back in time to the moment of his birth. Living life again gave him plenty of years to plan for when he had the Death Note again. Plans that were heavily influenced by Light realising that the feelings he had for L wasn't only always hate.
Light always went after what he wanted. So did Kira.
