Mitsuba makes a face at Kou, but continues speaking. "Ok, so you know how you have the worst fashion sense imaginable and you dress like shit and you look terrible and every item of clothing you own looks like it was thrown out of hell by the devil for being too disgusting?"
Kou blinks. "Uh... I hadn't heard anyone say that before, but alright..."
"It's true," Mitsuba says seriously. Then he cracks a grin, poking himself in the cheek with his fingertip. "And I am here to fix it for you."
-
Mitsuba volunteers to be Kou's fashion consultant for the day so they can go shopping. Kou isn't sure about taking Mitsuba to the city, but agrees, because he's incapable of saying no to him.Series

Summary
Aira smiles again. "I love arcades! I used to go a lot in middle school. I hope you have fun, too, Kohakucchi."
"'Course I will," Kohaku says. "I always have fun when I'm with ya."
He spoke the words without thinking, and immediately he regrets them. That's way too forward, isn't it?
But Aira's smile just widens, and he shifts his grip on Kohaku's hand so their fingers are entwined.
Huh. Maybe, just maybe, he actually has a chance.

Aira asks Kohaku to go to an arcade with him. It's not a date, no matter how badly Kohaku wants it to be one...right?Bookmarked by snowmellt

Summary
It's a stressful time of year, and Aira is reminded of that as he wanders down the shopping centre. There are lone shoppers, sure, but there are just as many groups of what he assumes are friends or lovers. He walks past a pair of friends, still in school uniform, just outside the idol merch store he used to visit with Kohaku.
Aira wonders if that's what they looked like back then. Maybe in a different world, if they'd met normally.
It's like that for a while, though. The Japanese sweets shop near the entrance, the overpriced carp print Kohaku'd pointed out once, the traditional crafts stall further down the hall, the café down the way—because Kohaku is everywhere, even when he's not here.
