Tim knows no one has time to listen to him speak about unimportant things. It's why his parents were never home. It's why his team mocks him for being a know-it-all who was taught by the World's Greatest Detective.
Tim is fine with it. He really is. They don't have time for it -- for him. So he'll just respect their wishes and be the perfect boy that doesn't take up unwanted space. It's the only way he knows how to live because he'll end up all alone if he doesn't.

The year just started and Tim is already thoroughly exhausted and ready to quit.
...okay, that may be an exaggeration. But the point stands, he did not sign up to be ogled by his loud classmates as they whisper about how pretty he is. Tim is NOT pretty and he is most definitely NOT a girl.
Even if the handsome guy in a leather jacket apologized for the catcalls, Tim is still upset about it.

He's gone as quickly as he appeared in her room. He is back in the cave, and no universe is destroyed, but he can’t help but mourn what he lost. He had something real with Jubilee, no matter how brief.

Or: Kon and Tim get kidnapped for display in an alien zoo. They only really wanted Kryptonians, but Kon manages to get the zookeepers to believe the human he came with is necessary for his general well-being.

“Go down!” Kon had flipped upside down and was clawing toward the roof trying to will himself down but it was like his center of gravity was tugging him up toward the sky and he had to fight it to just stay where he was. What the hell was going on with his powers? None of the other ones were acting up. “Go down…go down!” He growled out.
“What are you doing?” A voice startled him and he fell out of the air face first into the gravel of the roof and he groaned annoyed.
Kon sat up and wiped the pebbles off his face and shook out his jacket before looking over at who broke the spell.
“Are you okay?” Tim asked, looking like he was holding back a laugh.

Kon is finding that he can't seem to control his flight, he kept ending up floating off the ground, unable to get back down for the life of him and something...(maybe someone)...had to be setting this off because no matter how hard Kon tried, he couldn't keep his feet on the ground.

“Oh, like you’re never a dick,” Tim says, rolling his eyes. “You’ve always been the one on my case the most about it, and you started all this in the first place when you disobeyed my orders and put us all in danger, so why would you think we’re good now?”
“I didn’t say we were good,” Kon bites out. “I wanted to apologize, actually, but you’re making it really fucking hard.”
“Oh, now you want to apologize,” Tim says bitterly. “Now that you know my name and you got what you wanted, I get an apology, huh?”
“Tim,” Kon starts, and Tim growls.
“Don’t call me that,” Tim snaps.
or Young Justice has a trust problem after Apokolips. Tim doesn't know where he stands with the team anymore after learning that half of them mistrust him. He doesn't know where he stands with Kon in particular.
