Summary
Shane was exhausted. If he were honest with himself he had been for years. He forced that exhaustion so deeply inside him that it began to settle in his bones. He gave and gave but it was never enough. He wanted to be brave, for himself, for Ilya. Fuck, he wanted more time with him, finally together. His heart ached when they were apart.
He was brave once, he could be brave again. He could choose himself, choose Ilya.
or, Shane Hollander is done with everyone's shit and becomes a Boston bear

Summary
"The image of Shane’s wet t-shirt clinging to his body, his face flushed from exertion, wet hair dripping down his face filled Ilya’s head. It was borderline pornographic, and if he wasn’t a kindergarten teacher, and if the man’s daughter hadn’t also been in the room, he might have said or done something he would’ve probably regretted.
Ilya had two rules about dating; one, he would never date a parent of one of his students, and two, he would never date a guy in the closet. And Shane fucking Hollander happened to fill both of those boxes. God, why couldn’t Shane have been some random guy, not a parent, and not a famous, in-the-closet hockey player?”
Or: Shane Hollander is obsessed with his daughter's new kindergarten teacher, who is obsessed back.
