It's been ten years since the Fall Of Beacon, so naturally the survivors decided to throw a party.
It was meant to be an amazing night, filled with speeches and reunions, but all Ruby feels is poison in her stomach when her recent ex-girlfriend decides to turn a celebration into a fight and leave her brooding at the bar.It's also been five years since Ruby has looked Weiss, her best friend, in the eye, with the last time being right before Weiss had walked down the aisle.
But now Weiss has stormed in five hours late and shouting at the man Ruby hated watching her marry, and the look Weiss gives her is anything but pleased to see her after five years of silence, after Weiss had gotten married and Ruby had held Penny's hand at the wedding.Ten years ago when the tower fell and everything changed, the partners made a silent promise that some things would forever be left unsaid and unresolved.
But when they're a bottle of bourbon down and trying to repair the damage that comes from hiding from feelings through selfless decisions, fresh wounds too often lead to rushed confessions, and everything that comes after when you have a hotel suite for a night.
