Summary
Xiao Zhan’s steps slow as Yibo shifts a little, revealing a video camera in his hands that he points right at Jingyu’s face, zooming into his eyes with a lean forward that Jingyu barely manages to avoid.
They let out peals of laughter, Yibo grinning from ear to ear. Jingyu attempts to swat at him with the handheld fan he’s holding.
“Wang-laoshi, is this really the way?” Jingyu snorts, pleading with Yibo as Yibo darts forward again to film Jingyu from the top-down.
“Jingyu-ge,” Yibo shoots back, a devilish smirk on his face as he holds the camera steady despite Jingyu’s attempts to block the lens. “Handsome people need to be filmed, you know?”
Or: Xiao Zhan isn't a jealous boyfriend. He really isn't.

Summary
The lights aren’t on in the house, but Yibo can make out the figure of someone in the garden. He’s plucking off some petals, clearing away some dead leaves.
Moving closer, Yibo ducks behind a bush as the figure straightens and comes into view. Lifting his head and using his nighttime predator vision, Yibo strains to make the figure out before his vision focuses, and-
Oh.
A Bunny in the garden is what’s emitting the delectable, heavenly smell. He’s carrying a basket full of freshly cut flowers, his hair curling gently on his forehead. He has twin white bunny ears sitting tall and proud on his head.
And he’s... barely dressed.

Summary
Yibo groans, the wind knocked out of his lungs. He’s sure his back must be bruised, the white of his school uniform stained from the dirt of the pathway. It takes him a minute to realise that there’s a pair of eyes staring back at him, wide and sheepish.
He blinks up at them, and at the lovely face that they sit on. The boy who Yibo has lying solidly on his chest and lower torso is just as tall as he is, taller maybe, hands braced on either side of Yibo’s head.
And when he talks, the only thing Yibo can think is-
Oh. Oh no.

“I can hear voices! In my head! When I’m touching people!” Xiao Zhan hisses, and Ji Li fixes him with a look. “I heard Yibo’s voice in the elevator! And Mr Yun’s from the jianbing stall!”
“And I can fly,” Ji Li says, voice coloured with heavy skepticism.

“Seungyeon, I write essays,” Xiao Zhan says, trying his utmost to avoid Seungyeon’s puppy dog eyes as he seizes hold of Xiao Zhan’s bike handles. “Not love letters.”
“I’ll pay you,” Seungyeon rushes out, and Xiao Zhan pauses. “I’ll pay you 100 yuan for a letter.”
“Fine,” Xiao Zhan says, taking in the dark sky above them and the pitiful expression on Seungyeon's face. “Fine. A letter, and I’ll give it to you to put it in his locker tomorrow. Just one, okay?”
Just one letter to Wang Yibo, Seungyeon’ll get rejected, and Xiao Zhan will never have to do anything like this ever again.
Or: Xiao Zhan agrees to help Cho Seungyeon pursue Wang Yibo by writing love letters. He doesn't expect to fall in love with Wang Yibo instead.

Summary
When Nie Mingjue returns to Lan Xichen, it is uneventful. There is no fanfare, no announcement of Nie-zongzhu or Chifeng-zun, no proclamations of his titles or his achievements and most importantly, no shrieks of terror heralding his arrival and not a trace of the swirling clouds of resentful energy that accompanied him in his death. He is simply there one day, at the end of the pathway that connects Xichen’s modest courtyard to the dirt road outside, standing with a bag slung over his shoulder as he locks eyes with Lan Xichen in the doorway of his cottage.
