Summary
When Gopher Wood dies, he leaves behind Dewlight Pavilion, an 18th century manor surrounded by splendorous nature despite its own decaying roots. He leaves his worldly possessions to his dear friend Mikhail, who he never comes to realise passed on years before, and as such, the manor falls to Mikhail’s former ward, Gallagher.
What to do with the carcass of a manor you once visited as a child? Fix it up and sell it off, of course—but it’s not as easy as Gallagher thinks it is, not with something haunting the halls and stirring the long forgotten memories of the summer he spent there as a child…
He’d seen it when he was a young teenager, freshly painted as a snapshot of time. To view it was to have his memory crash back in with the weight of that idealised spring and summer. It was a tainted, nostalgic bliss too heavy to bear. He was just there to fix things.

holy fucking shit. nobody talk to me. i found this right after an ill-advised all nighter that i really should not have allowed of myself, and yet here i am, with only a 30 minutes nap to my name that i had after a few paragraphs into the first chapter. i repeat, nobody talk to me; my jaw is unhinged and i am also quite fully hingeless in the majesty of this fic. like holy fuck. so easy to get sucked into it and so easy to eat up every last little thing. the best possible delicacy presented to my sleepy eyes. it's far past midday so i cannot sleep but i KNOW i will see visions of this fic in my dreams tonight. what a gift ( ◠‿◠ ) ✿ ༄
