Summary
Unlike the others Silco’s gaze doesn’t leave Viktor, even when Singed enters. Viktor watches him warily back, knowing better than to turn his back on a predator even if he’s outgrown the old rule of hiding. Silco’s eyes don’t linger on his cane or any of the glaring hints other trenchers see as weakness or cause for dismissal. It sets Viktor’s heart beating harder, to be eyed like a potential threat, a sick curl of dread and misplaced satisfaction in turn.

Summary
“They will write your name in footnotes and consider it a service.” His voice is just as silky up close, smooth like seduction but the draw of violence rather than that of lust. It isn’t a threat yet Viktor feels the ache of tension up his back.
Zaun was offered a name and seats on the Council but the city is still a singular entity. This puts Viktor in an odd position of someone with a foot on both sides, and Silco very much wants to tip that balance.
