Summary
“You’ve chosen a dramatic method of requesting attention,” Mel says quietly.
-------------------------------------------------------------------Sheriff Caitlyn Kiramman tells herself this is discipline in the name of duty. In truth, it is fear casting a shadow that everything she has built will slip through her fingers like spent casings on stone. The cough bends her in half this time. She catches herself, breath shuddering. For a brief, treacherous second, she imagines allowing someone else to shoulder the weight.
The thought feels like failure.
She straightens slowly, wipes her mouth, and tastes iron again.Bookmarked by eeevoll

Summary
Caitlyn and Vi have known each other since pre-school and have been inseparable best-friends ever since. What happens when the threat of Caitlyn moving to another city sends Vi into a spiral and leads Caitlyn to make a decision that could change the course of their relationship forever?
AKA, my very self-indulgent CaitVi childhood friends AU, where we see them both deal with the common crisis of ""Should I ruin the friendship?" while also following the journey of their friendship from their very first meeting til the day they say "I do."
