Summary
It felt beyond natural for Xie Lian and Hua Cheng to have their arms wrapped around each other. Under the dazzling lights of thousands of lanterns was the familiar warmth of a bond that could defy even fate. No words were spoken for a long time. Only the tear-streaked smiling face of a scrap-collecting martial god and the dignified countenance of a Supreme ghost king mattered on Mt. Taicang under a flame-lit night sky.
To believe is one thing, and to reap the effects of believing is another. Xie Lian spent countless days and nights proclaiming that Hua Cheng will definitely return to him, but to finally see and hold the man in person after a year of waiting brought about a surge of emotions that he could barely contain. Just the mere thought of it made his entire body quake like it was about to explode from both relief and excitement.
