AU where muse A and muse B were once high school seniors and best friends to boot, who made a pact that if they were not married by (insert determined age here), they’d marry, not date, not get in touch and have a long, annoying talk about it, they’d find one another and get married, because they love each other, and they’ve always been attracted to one another, and it makes sense now that they’re decidedly older and wiser and surprisingly unmarried, and its time their debts were paid.

Billy is not sure what to do with an omega who not only does not cower away from him like everyone else but also seems to think he is a slob and keeps trying his patience.

“Your father sent you in his place?” Billy asks, unable to contain the question as he sneers hunkering down further in the shadows when the man’s big brown eyes turn in his direction. If the shadows were not so deep he would be caught in that gaze.
“Wait, what?” The man asks with a frown scent going sharp with anger. “What do you mean in his place?”

Summary
Billy jogs out of the garage and nearly slams into Jerry and the customer. Apparently the melodious tenor and speedy heartbeat belong to a tall, pale young man whose absolutely devastating brown eyes match his flowing brunette locks. Billy blinks in shocked confusion when the man in front of Jerry floods his highly perceptive nostrils with the scents of surprise and, most bafflingly, attraction. The mechanic’s hand shoots out automatically, the Wolf just as hungry for contact, “Hi, I’m Billy Hargrove.”
The man shakes it firmly, their calloused palms sliding together for one white-hot moment. “I’m Steve. Uh, Harrington. Steve Harrington.”
OR
Steve is a lonely, heartbroken werewolf hunter; the last man standing between Hawkins and unspeakable forces of evil. Billy is a traumatized mechanic whose little sister is the only reason he moved to this too-small town. Oh yeah, and he's a werewolf.
You can only imagine how quickly they manage to muck things up and fall in love.

Summary
Steve has magic, he just doesn't know it. He doesn't believe Dustin no matter how many times he insists that Steve's food is magic, because that is preposterous. Slowly others start to recognize that Steve has magic too, and then Billy comes along with accusations of a love potion when Neil gets a hold of some cookies Steve made and starts acting nice.

Steve expects a lighter to be tossed at him or even just lit and held up in front of his face, instead a flame sparks to life at the end of the cigarette held between his lips. Steve sucks in with a startled delighted laugh. He has seen Billy do this from afar, use his magic to light a cigarette but he has never seen him do it up close.
“That’s so cool.” Steve says before he can stop himself, face heating, why is it that he can never just be cool around Billy? “You ever do that to pick up chicks?” Steve asks, trying to save face and feeling like even more of a dumbass.
“Trying to pick you up.” Billy mumbles under his breath before making a show of coughing.
“What?” Steve asks the words too low for him to make out, he tries to sink into his jacket, shoulders around his ears as Billy starts laughing, sure he is being laughed at.
