"About the King's late bride?" George could tell the Lord was not accustomed to gossip by the loudness of his voice. Lady Piastri let his fan rest on his right cheek, but he doubted that Lord Sargeant could ever comprehend the complexities of fan language—that was reserved for ladies after all.
"The majority of the King's court and his servants agree that the late Queen's demise was orchestrated by King Max," he said with bewilderment, although his volume was still proper for the topic at hand. George was amazed at how skilled Oscar was at this.
OR: Lady George is set to be married to King Max, and according to everyone, his fate is to die.
